One dead, two injured in Highland car crash

(KUTV) — One person is dead and two injured after a car and truck collided in Highland on Monday evening.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Alpine Highway and Timpanogos Highway as a Buick was traveling eastbound and a Ford-150 was going westbound.

Authorities are not yet sure which driver is responsible for the crash. Two or more witnesses were present at the scene.

Two people were in the Buick — one of whom is the decedent. The other person was taken to the hospital with moderate to serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

One person was driving in the Ford-150. This person was taken to the hospital with moderate to serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Drugs and/or alcohol are not suspected as being responsible for the crash at this time.

Authorities are investigating this crash.
