(KUTV) — A suspect was taken into custody early Thursday morning after fleeing police and crashing on Park Lane in Farmington.
Police pulled the suspect over on Interstate 15 for speeding, according to the Utah Highway Patrol (UHP).
Authorities learned the vehicle was stolen, and at some point during the stop, the suspect sped away.
The suspect tried to exit on Park Lane while driving 90 miles per hour, but crashed into a wall after trying to make a left-hand turn.
An ambulance and multiple police vehicles responded to the scene.
The suspect was taken to the University of Utah Hospital with non-life threatening injures, but he is in critical condition.
According to UHP, the suspect will "definitely" face charges.
East-and westbound Park Lane was closed at I-15 southbound following the incident.
The road was re-opened at 6:35 a.m.
