'Phantom of the Opera' audience evacuated on eventful opening night
(KUTV) — The Phantom of the Opera audience was evacuated Wednesday after fire alarms were set off.
In a statement, Broadway Across America wrote it was a false alarm.
Nobody was injured.
The alarms went off Wednesday night during Act II.
The audience was evacuated for approximately 25 minutes.
Crews in electrical, props, costumes, and stage management looked over the chandelier and other items to ensure the program was safe before opening back up.
