(KUTV) — Police in Pleasant Grove evacuated some homes and a school when the bomb squad responded to the scene of a death investigation.

According to Pleasant Grove Police Facebook page, a dead body was found inside a home near 100 North Main Street Wednesday.

Officers said due to the "circumstances," including prior history at the home, an explosives team was sent to the home and deemed the home safe.

As officials cleared the house, some homes and the nearby John Hancock School were evacuated as a precaution.

The scene was declared safe and officers are continuing to conduct their investigation of the dead.
