Police: Brother stabs brother who was assaulting sister
(KUTV) A 16-year-old was arrested for stabbing his 18-year-old brother five times, putting him in critical condition after he was taken by air to a hospital. The teen, from Eagle Mountain, Utah, is expected to survive.
Sgt. Spencer Cannon with the Utah County Sheriff's Office said the older teen was arguing with their 14-year-old sister and reportedly "began to assault her." The younger brother attempted to intervene, stabbing him. He had wounds in his arm, chest and upper back.
It was not clear what he used to stab his brother.
Both brothers will be charged with a crime, the 16-year-old with second-degree felon aggravated assault. He was booked into a youth detention center. The older brother will face a charge of one count of child abuse, a class A misdemeanor, for assaulting his sister.
The incident took place, according to Cannon, near Parkers Place and Cattle Drive.
