UPDATED: 4 shot, including 14-year-old bystander as rap group targeted at WVC Walmart

UPDATE: (10:30 a.m.) - New details are emerging in Saturday night's shooting at a West Valley Walmart.

According to the West Valley Police Department, people inside a red Hyundai sedan were seen talking with the rap group near the RV in the parking lot.

The 14-year-old girl was near the RV talking with the rap group.

Witnesses told police that "words were exchanged" and the red Hyundai sped off.

A short time later, the same red Hyundai was seen on 5600 West when someone in the vehicle opened fire at the RV, hitting three members of the rap group, and the 14-year-old girl.

Police say the three shot members got into the RV, which sped off in pursuit of the red Hyundai sedan.

The RV was found a short time later after it got a flat tire.

Police think the tire may have been shot out.

The suspect or suspects in the red Hyundai are still at large.

Police are investigating and searching for a suspect or suspects.

UPDATE (10:24 p.m.) - Police have released the ages of the three men shot in a West Valley Walmart parking lot.

A 36-year-old man was shot in the leg, a 23-year-old man was shot in the buttocks, and a 22-year-old man was shot in the abdomen.

All three are in stable condition, as is a 14-year-old female bystander who was also shot.

UPDATE (10:00 p.m.) - West Valley Police have released more information about Saturday night's shooting at a West Valley Walmart.

West Valley Police says four people were shot and they were part of a rap group traveling in an RV, which was stopped in the Walmart parking lot.

Three people from the group were standing outside the RV when a car headed south on 5600 West fired multiple rounds at the RV. Three people from the group and a bystander were all hit with gunfire.

The bystander is a 14-year-old girl and she was hit in the hip area and is in stable condition.

All three members of the rap group who were shot are also stable.

All three are adult men. One was shot in the leg, one in the torse, another in the buttocks.

The person inside the RV was not injured.

Police are investigating the possibility of gang connections to the shooting.

Police are working to get surveillance footage from nearby businesses to help with their investigation.

(KUTV) - Police are investigating a shooting at the Walmart at 3180 South and 5600 West in West Valley City.

The shooting happened Saturday evening and at least one person is being treated for a gunshot wound.

Police haven't released any more details.
