(KUTV) A man reported missing last night was found dead in a backyard shortly after 1:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
Mark Miller, 62, was found dead by police in a backyard around 3600 South Christine in Salt Lake.
Unified Police received a call that 62-year-old Mark Miller was missing from his residence near 3600 S and 900 East just after 9:00 p.m. Friday night.
Video surveillance from Friday night shows Miller walking in the parking lot of the Granite Credit Union at 3650 South 900 East towards the east at 8:40 p.m. Friday night.
According to a press release, investigators are on scene and will work with the Utah Medical Examiners Office to determine a cause of death.
Police say Miller suffered from alcohol withdrawal and recently fell and injured his head, as well.
Earlier in the evening Miller tried to leave in his car when his roommates stopped him.
He later left on foot wearing jeans, a T-shirt and possibly slippers.
Several agencies, including Salt Lake County Search and Rescue, helped look for Miller on foot with dogs and the help on a helicopter.
The search was called off early this morning due to the cold.
