Pony Express mail run reenactment hit Utah's Camp Floyd State Park

(KUTV) -- Members of the National Pony Express Association rode horses through Utah over the weekend in its annual re-ride of the Pony Express mail run.

The commemorative reenactment over a 10-day period took place through Camp Floyd State Park with letter carriers taking part in traveling by horseback on the original trail.

The 1,966 mile, 8-state event is conducted 24-hours a day until the mail is delivered to its destination.

More than 750 riders participate by delivering nearly 1,000 letters each year.
