(KUTV) -- The 51st Annual Easter Jeep Safari in Moab this weekend served as a reminder of a beloved former outdoors show host, Doug Miller.

As thousands descend on one of the largest off-road vehicle events in the nation, KUTV wanted to highlight some feature stories by Miller that depicts adventures of four-wheeling trail enthusiasts in southeastern Utah.

Miller died August 20, 2006, from complications of septic shock. He debuted his first episode of "Outdoors With Doug Miller" in 1995 where he introduced his unique storytelling abilities that captured the hearts of young and old.

In 2001, his show began airing on KUTV, which he lovingly called home for five years prior to his death.
