(KUTV) -- A Salt Lake City man is using his Halloween display to pay a tribute to dinosaurs.
Ammon Smith made giant dinosaur sculptures out of wood, chicken and tin foil outside of his Sugar House home on 1500 South 900 East for the spooky holiday.
"We like Halloween and we like to build giant, crazy things," Smith said. "So, it's a good excuse to do that and it's fun."
Smith has two pterodactyls, a pair of raptors and a T-Rex out on display for trick-or-treaters and others. On Halloween, Smith said thousands of children will come to his house to catch a glimpse of his prehistoric creations.
"I get nothing but positive comments," Smith said. "It's very reassuring - it's good if my neighbors hated what I did; I'd stop but everyone seems to love it."
Smith said the dinosaurs will be thrown away by Nov. 1, and he'll start over with a new idea for next year.
