(KUTV) — A semi-truck was engulfed in flames on Interstate 15 southbound early Friday morning near 2100 South.
At 6:58 a.m., the tractor portion of the semi-truck caught fire. There is currently no information yet as to what initially caused the fire.
The driver pulled the semi-truck over to the side of the freeway as it belched flames and smoke into the air.
According to police, the semi-truck was hauling onion rings.
Emergency crews arrived on the scene and extinguished the flames.
All lanes were closed until 7:20 a.m., when two lanes were reopened.
There is currently no information on whether anyone was injured in the crash or fire.
