(KUTV) - Several hundred birds were found dead and injured Monday on a street in Draper.
Draper Police Sgt. Chad Carpenter said the dead birds called starlings were discovered Monday at approximately 2:30 p.m.
Carpenter described what may have happened to the flock of birds is during a tandem flight, knownas a murmuration, they flew into a large vehicle causing mass death and injury.
The birds that were found alive, but injured, were taken by a wildlife rehabilitator that contracts with Division of Wildlife Resources for rehabilitation, he said.
