Salt Lake City police are investigating suspicious circumstances surrounding the disappearance of David Stokoe.

Stokoe, of South Jordan, was reportedly last seen driving a 2015 white Cadillac Escalade with Utah plate F823HL.

SLCPD Detective Greg Wilking said police were investigating a property he is known to be associated with.

Stokoe's close friend, Nate Brusik, told 2News he is a 40-year-old father to four kids. He is a realtor and landlord who was last seen Thursday, when he went to check on a tenant in the area of 900 East Princeton Ave. in Salt Lake City.

Brusik said Stokoe had been having problems with the tenants at his property there. He was going to collect rent and, possibly, evict them.

Police investigated the property and said they found suspicious things in the apartment, but would not elaborate. They said the discovery made them concerned for Stokoe's well-being.

Brusik was adamant that Stokoe was not the kind of guy who would just disappear.

Anyone with information about Stokoe's whereabouts was asked to contact SLCPD at 801-799-3000 and reference case number 19-10532.
