PARK CITY, Utah (KUTV) — Summit County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a 58-year-old suspect in a murder following the discovery of a body in Park City.
James Ramsbell, 58, of Park City was booked into jail on the suspicion of first-degree murder and several other charges, according to a press release from the Summit County Sheriff Justin Martinez.
On October 7, at approximately 6:50 a.m., a woman contacted police stating she had found a body lying in the grass of a Highland Estates home.
Police arrived at the scene and confirmed 50-year-old John Krieg of Park City was dead. Later, investigators determined Krieg had a single gunshot wound to the chest.
Police said they also noticed another man who had exited a nearby home. He was later identified as Ramsdell.

Ramsdell had a gunshot wound to his hand and was treated before being taken in for questioning by police.
According to police, Krieg, the victim, lived in the basement apartment of the home on Countryside Circle where his body was found.
Ramsdell lives in the upper level of the same home.
Police said the two had gotten into a fight while drinking during the early morning hours of Oct. 7.

During the fight, a small handgun was brought out. The two men exited the home during the argument.
Police noted that Ramsdell later returned to the home but Krieg did not.
Sometime after, Krieg's body was found and police apprehended Ramsdell.
