(KUTV) A local terrorism expert says the planning and execution of the Paris terror attacks was frighteningly precise.

"As terror attacks go this was, and I can't emphasis this enough, this was extremely well planned and seemingly extremely well executed," said Amos Guiora, professor of law at the S.J. Quinney College of Law.

Guiora spent 20 years with the Israeli Defense Forces and was involved in the legal and policy aspects of operational counter-terrorism. Guiora says given the recent influx of refugees flooding into Europe from Syria and Iraq, some wonder if terror elements may have made their way into France.

"There's been concerns raised that it's an easy way for ISIS to infiltrate into Europe. 'Could this be the first step of that or the first implementation of that?' Perhaps," said Guiora.

He adds, however that it may be too soon to attach ISIS to the attack or to suggest that the attack was retaliation for reports that the face of ISIS, Jihadi John has been killed.

"That kind of multi-piece terrorist attack with multiple actors requires enormous intelligence information on the part of the terrorists to gather significant operational planning and the ability to execute it. I don't think you can put it together overnight," said Guiora.

In addition to the tradgedy unfolding in Paris, on a lesser level he says, be prepared for more security if you are flying domestically but especially internationally, anytime soon.
