The director of "The Sandlot" announced that the beloved film will be coming to TV, and the best part is - it will be with the original cast.

David Mickey Evans, writer and director of the popular baseball flick, announced on The Rain Delay podcast that the TV series will bring back Smalls, Ham, Yeah-Yeah and the rest of the Sandlot gang as adults in the 1980s.

"I just sold a 'Sandlot' television show. We're about to get an order for the first two seasons," Evans told The Rain Delay host Cooperstown Kurt. "I already got all the original cast members back. It takes place in 1984, when they’re all like 33 years old and they all have children of their own, and that's all I can tell you."

The film celebrated its 25th anniversary back in August 2018, where cast members visited Utah and the original baseball diamond in Salt Lake City.
