Tom Sizemore removed from Utah movie set after allegedly fondling 11-year-old girl in 2003
SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) - Catrine McGregor, a veteran casting director who resides in Idaho, publicly accused actor Tom Sizemore of molesting an 11-year-old girl on a film set in Utah back in 2003.
“I’ve been living with this for 14 years and I just couldn’t stand it anymore,” she said from her home in Idaho.
McGregor told her story to The Hollywood Reporter, which interviewed about a dozen people who supported her story
Mc Gregor said she felt compelled to tell the story after all these years, after watching other women go public about stories of sexual assault against other actors.
“I’m not speaking out for myself, I’m speaking out for the girl who is a woman now,” she said.
Mc Gregor said she cast the 11-year-old girl for the film “Piggy Banks” which was later renamed “Born Killers” (not to be confused with” Natural Born Killers.”
She said during a photo shoot, the young girl was sitting near Sizemore for a picture, when the still photographer and one of the lead actresses noticed the girl’s face turn white and she looked like she was going to vomit.
“The little girl completely shut down,” McGregor said of the reports from the set.
McGregor alleges that the next day, the little girl disclosed to her parents that she’d been fondled by Sizemore.
The girl’s agent called McGregor, who called police and the Screen Actors Guild.
She said she also called the film’s producers who got Sizemore off the Utah set and sent him home.
McGregor said she called police but the girl’s parents did not want to pursue criminal charges.
She said the child actor, who is now a young woman in her mid-20s, is seeking an attorney.
McGregor said she has not been paid by anyone to tell this story.
She hopes that by telling the story, others who’ve been victims of sexual assault will feel encouraged to tell their stories too.
“God knows how many people have been affected in the last 14 years while this was under wraps,” she said.
