(KUTV)- Beaver county experienced nearly 30 vehicle slide offs and a few accidents due to snow storms Wednesday night and Thursday morning, said Utah Highway Patrol.

The men and women helping clear those scenes and dig vehicles out of ditches were extreme busy.

Austin Mortensen, owner of Bar M Diesel Towing and Service company in Beaver told 2News that it's unfortunate to make money from these incidents but someone has to be out there to help.

"Before I could get to my first call we'd have three more calls." Mortensen said and it was that way for he and his crew for a solid 24 hours.

"This is just a way of life for us we deal with." Mortensen said.

2News did a ride along with Mortensen while he went out on a few calls, but sometimes a profit is not made on incidents. But that's not his biggest concern, his top priority is the safety of his crew of drivers out there dealing with the same elements everyone else is.

"It is stressful because of the safety aspect, whether we're gonna make it home or not, whether we're going to get in an accident ourselves, all putting it out there just to help the public." Mortensen said.
