(KUTV) — A driver died after crashing on Interstate 15 Monday night, the Utah Highway Patrol said in a tweet.
UHP says 60-year-old Eugene Eldridge of West Valley City was killed as a result of the crash.
Eldridge likely suffered a medical issue before their semi hit the steel support for a freeway sign near 400 North on I-15 in Bountiful, UHP said.
"We cannot say if the driver died from the medical problem or the crash," UHP said in a tweet.
The crash was blocking the right shoulder of I-15 Northbound near Woods Cross.
