West Valley City, Utah — (KUTV) Two violent incidents erupted at West Valley City's WestFest Friday night.
The incidents happened at nearly the same time, but in close proximity at a parking lot in Centennial Park. According to police a family altercation with pushing and shoving led to three people being stabbed, all in the chest.
One person was said to be in serious condition while two others were in stable condition. One of those in stable condition was a suspect as identified by police.
In another incident that happened close by, police said a group of people involved in gang activity get aggressive with pushing and shoving and police employed mace to settle the situation down.
Police are investigating to see if the two incidents are related but initial information indicated they were separate.
The WestFest event was not shut down or evacuated. According to police, they are still seeking one person.
