(KUTV) Utah Congressman John Curtis released a statement Thursday in response to the renewed debate around the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and net neutrality.
"I am a very strong supporter of free and open internet," said Curtis. "I support the principles of net neutrality such as no blocking, throttling, or paid prioritization. That said, I'm concerned that heavy-handed regulation of the internet will stifle innovative and economic growth."
In order to learn more about how constituents of the 3rd District feel about regulation and net neutrality, Curtis says he will be holding a series of discussions on net neutrality "during the next 45 days," according to a press release.
People can participate in the net neutrality discussions by visiting Curtis' contact page.
The congressman encouraged constituents to contact him. "I will commit to personally read each of these," he said.
