(KUTV) - A 10-year-old from Lehi will be putting his best foot forward in Europe over the next couple of months. He’s the youngest boy from Utah to ever qualify for the World Irish Dancing Championships. They’ll be held in Scotland in March.

He’s also heading to the Emerald Isle next week for the All-Ireland competition.

Dallen Smith has spent thousands of hours training at the Scariff Gilleoghan School of Irish Dance. In fact, he’s been in dancing shoes since the age of three. He’s the Utah State Champ and he’s ranked 7th in the country.

Three other students from the school have also qualified for the world championships. They are aged 17, 18, and 21.
