SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) - A Sandy man was arrested Monday after authorities allegedly found nearly $4 million worth of illegal drugs in his vehicle in Arizona.
Deputies with the Mohave County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on a white sedan on Interstate 15 near the Utah border at approximately 3 p.m.
Authorities say the driver, 30-year-old Logan Lewis Pederson, "appeared extremely nervous."
The St. George Police Department K9 was called to assist and alerted to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle.
When deputies searched the vehicle, they found: Six 1-gallon jugs, that weighed a total of 66 pounds, filled with a liquid substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine; six bricks, that weighed 13.2 pounds, of cocaine; 1,000 packages of candy infused with THC that weighed 206 pounds; and 2.2 pounds of methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA).
The estimated street value of the drugs is approximately $3,696,720, according to the sheriff's office.
Pederson was arrested and charged with the following felonies: dangerous drug possession, dangerous drug possession for sale, transportation of dangerous drugs, narcotic drug possession, narcotic drug possession for sale and transportation of narcotic drugs.
He is being held at the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.
