(KUTV) - Utah has been named the third best state for business in 2018 by CNBC, right behind Texas and Washington.
The state got its high ranking for its outstanding economy with A+ grade.
Utah also received solid grading in the following categories: Quality of life, cost of doing business, infrastructure, workforce and business friendliness.
Despite its flourishing economy, Utah fumbles on education by underfunding schools; thus receiving a D+ grade.
These grades and scores were tallied based on more than 60 measures of competitiveness and developed with input from a broad and diverse array of business and policy experts, official government sources, the CNBC Global CFO Council, YPO and the states themselves.
