Two Utahns were killed and another injured in a shooting in Henderson, Nevada Tuesday morning.

Diana Hawatmeh and her teenage son Joseph died "tragically," the Skaggs Catholic Center wrote on social media.

News3 Las Vegas reports four people were killed in the shooting, which involved police officers. Officers responding to a report of gunfire located two people with gunshot wounds in the area of 1445 Stonelake Cove Ave. A "possible suspect" was found in a car parked nearby.

Shots were fired by police while attempting to make contact with the possible suspect.

At least five people were injured in the shooting, including the possible suspect, who was killed. According the the Skaggs Catholic Center, Hawatmeh's daughter Yasmeen is in critical condition at a Las Vegas area hospital.

It's not clear who the fifth person officers referred to is, though by their account that person is presumed dead.

The Skaggs Catholic Center writes that Hawatmeh's husband and the couple's oldest son "were not involved in the incident."

A vigil was planned for 6 p.m. Wednesday to pray for the Hawatmeh family, who are "highly involved" in the church community of Saint John the Baptist Parish.
