(KUTV) — 1,400 Rocky Mountain Power customers were left without power early Tuesday morning after a crash in West Jordan damaged a power box.

The crash, which occurred at 5600 West and 9000 South, shut down traffic in both directions, according to the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT).

Officials say there were no major injuries.

The estimated time of restoration for power in the area was initially 7:30 a.m., but this time was updated to 9:30 a.m. when that time came and went.

Power was restored ahead of time, however, at 8:07 a.m.

Rocky Mountain Power reemphasized the importance of staying away from downed power lines.
