PITTSBURGH (KUTV) — Only a newborn could make an ugly Christmas sweater absolutely adorable.
Newborns at a Pittsburgh hospital were dressed in hand-crocheted sweaters and hats for the holiday.
Nurse Caitlin Pechin at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital hand-crocheted each sweater and cap for the newborn babies.
The babies were dressed in the sweaters and matching caps by hospital staff.
"Dressing newborns at Christmastime is a tradition at Magee," the hospital said on its website. "In the past, our babies rang in the holiday season cuddled up in tiny stockings, gingerbread onesies, and reindeer hats and blankets."
Nurse Pechin has been crocheting since 2009.
The hospital says she's helped "bring to life" many events at the hospital, including a gingerbread nursery and mini-football helmets to celebrate the Pittsburgh Steelers.
